Integrating wireless access points into your current network boosts signal to parts of your building that fail to receive the broadcast from the current router or switch. The signal is sent from the existing router via a cat 5 to cat 7 cable to a wireless access point (up to 50 to 60m from the router) this access point then amplifies the signal and broadcasts the signal allowing a connection to the internet further away from the office area housing the router.
The broadcast range of each wirless access point is up to 50 to 80 meters, dependent on terrain and building specifications. Wireless access points can be connected in series extending the network even further.
